Each year the Art Collection works with the Roche Court to host the Scotland Finals of ARTiculation. ARTiculation is the Roche Court Educational Trust’s nationally acclaimed public speaking initiative designed to promote the appreciation and discussion of visual culture. ARTiculation engages young people aged between 14 and 23, regardless of background or experience, with art and develops their confidence and ability to express their opinions, thoughts and conclusions.
This year unfortunately, like many other events, ARTiculation Prize Scotland had to be held digitally online. Five entrants competed at the National Final and the presentation were adjudicated by Dr James Legard, Architectural Historian and Heritage Consultant, Simpson and Brown Architects.
Dr Legard selected Sophie from Balfron High School for her talk on the film Blade Runner 2049, directed by Denis Villeneuve. Congratulations to all who entered and we hope to be able to hold the event at the University again next year.
The filmed presentations can be found on the ARTiculation Vimeo site
